Every conversion, chart, and measuring tool on this site is free and stays free — this kit isn't a paywalled copy of any of it. It's a physical companion for the situations the on-screen tools can't cover: measuring in a fitting room with no phone signal, keeping a paper reference in a suitcase while traveling, or handing a worksheet to a family member who'd rather fill in a printed card than open a browser tab. The measuring tape alone is something none of the site's free tools provide, since a screen can't become a physical object you wrap around a chest or wrist.

The measuring tape's scale, and how to print it so it actually works

A printable tape measure is only useful if it prints at the correct real-world scale — many free templates online silently distort when a printer auto-scales a PDF to fit the page, which produces a tape that reads confidently wrong. This kit's tape is laid out against a printed 10cm reference square on the same page specifically so you can check it: after printing, measure that square with any ruler you already own before trusting the tape. Print at "Actual size" or 100% scale, with "Fit to page" or "Scale to fit" turned off in your printer's dialog — that single setting is the difference between an accurate tape and a subtly wrong one, and the PDF says so on the page itself as a reminder.

Re-measuring yourself once a year or after a noticeable weight or fitness change, and checking a specific brand's own chart for anything you can't try on first, still matters even with an accurately filled-in card.
